An iconic figure in reggae, singer-songwriter Carlos was born and raised in Waterhouse, Western Kingston, Jamaica. He began his musical journey in 1973 as a founding member of Black Uhuru. In 1981, Carlos left the group to pursue a solo career, releasing his first album, “Suffering.” His music is universal, promoting peace, love, and righteousness, all with a distinctive style that transcends generations.
The global resonance of Don Carlos’ music is undeniable. In 2010, Carlos attracted the second-largest audience ever recorded at a reggae concert in Africa. This milestone highlights not just his universal appeal; it’s a testament to the impact his soul-stirring music has on audiences worldwide.
